GC Business meeting package: Now Available – read here International Task Force Report: You can click above to see the Governing Board’s version of the International Task Force. Very soon, we will be announcing plans for listening posts and webinars to receive feedback on the report. In the interim, you can write up with your comments and thoughts at GoverningBoard@MCCchurch.net. Strategic Planning: We recently completed our March 2013 Face-to-Face meeting, having spent two days with the Council of Elders and Senior Leadership Team working on a new strategic plan that will carry MCC through 2018 and the election of our next moderator. Details on that are forthcoming. We will include a webinar as part of the rollout. Moderator’s Nominating Committee: We recently announced our appointments to the Moderator Nominating Committee. Our denominational Bylaws require the Governing Board to appoint 3 people to the Committee and they will manage the process we (all of us) engage in to select the next Moderator. With joy, we announce that Rev. Dr. Lea Brown, Rev. Kevin Downer, and Ms. Elisa Vega-Burns will serve as our Committee through General Conference 2016. For their bios, please click HERE. General Conference: For the first time ever, the Governing Board will be managing the Business Meeting at General Conference. We are working on the agenda and will have more to share on that closer to the release date of the business packet. We have ambitious goals designed to help Tear Down Walls and Build Up Hope. MCC’s work in the world is undone. We will ensure that our churches and our members have all the resources and vision they need to be the church God and God’s people are calling us to be.
